Dear Patients
Alnwick Medical Group is situated on the site that is owned by Northumberland Healthcare Trust and they are introducing new parking arrangements that will come into effect from 1st September. The purpose of this is to ensure safe and appropriate car parking on site.
In order to avoid any unnecessary Parking Penalties it is important that all visitors to the site observe the following guidance:
A parking eye vehicle recognition camera will be installed to record all vehicles entering from the main road.
Patients attending the surgery for an appointment will be required to enter their Vehicle Registration details onto a console that will be situated on the reception of the Alnwick Medical Group Upper and Lower Buildings, this will link with our appointment system and will exempt anyone with an appointment from parking charges.
All visitors to the site will get 30minutes free to allow for collection of prescriptions or making enquiries in person at times when there is no appointment booked.
All cars parked on site must be parked between the lines of one parking space.
Parking in a disabled bay will only be permitted for Blue Badge Holders.
Parking in a reserved space will not be permitted.
Parking anywhere other than within a marked parking bay will not be permitted.
Anyone visiting the hospital for more than 30 minutes will be required to pay for parking and a new ticket machine is being installed.
A failure to observe the guidance will result in the issue of a fixed penalty notice.
